I don't know why I do this to myself. I think I have convinced myself subconsciously that I work better under pressure or something, because I spent all of today reading, writing, and staring at a blank word document.
Or maybe I am on the precipice of self-destruction, which can only begin by ruining my GPA.
How morbid.
Or, on a more realistic note, it could be that I am lazy, lazy, lazy and leave homework for last minute. Hmmmm...that seems more accurate.
Anywho, my eyes are blurry, my hair is dirty and my buttocks hurts from sitting on a cold, hard wooden chair, but instead of taking a nap, I am here writing, because it's my "thing."
Have I mentioned, that I love to write? And usually what I write is a lot better than the junk I post on here (since I don't edit anyyyyything), I promise. Also, I have never, ever let anyone read my poetry, short stories, essays etc. Which leads me to this next questions: should I start a creative writing blog? Would anyone read it? because the whole purpose would be to get feedback...so let me know in the comments section PLEASE!
Speaking about writing, I watched The Words the other day and it was absolutely a-may-zing. It's definitely not for everyone (some people might find it boring) but I thought it was so well scripted, the acting was fabulous, and the storyline had so much depth to it. I think it's my new favorite. I think An Education has just been replaced!
Check out the trailer...
If you didn't choke up just a little bit, you have no heart...jk ;)
Also, I am in love with the Civil Wars right now and Mumford and Sons.
Especially this song.
Ok. Break over.
Back. To. Work.
Eli! Yes, you should start a creative writing blog :) I'd love to read what you write! Be brave!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love that music. Right now I'm on a little bit of an Imagine Dragons and The Killers (new album!) kick. We love good music!
